The latest offering from Acer, the Acer Aspire Switch 10 E, is a device that offers users the best of both worlds – it’s a laptop and tablet in one. To communicate with current and potential customers, Acer ran a one month in store advertising campaign in Incredible Connection stores utilising Primedia Unlimited’s Fashion Media business.
“To maximise the four week campaign period, we created a visually arresting main window display in the top Incredible Connection stores across the country,” says Fashion Media’s CEO Sean Reed. “Once customers entered the store they were greeted with what we term ‘Hotspots’ within the stores. These are strategically identified mini activation areas that provide the advertiser with an additional platform to promote their products in a way that sets them apart from their competitors.”
For this particular campaign, Acer’s Hotspots consisted of three bright green plinths of various sizes which were complemented by a white double-sided fabri-frame banner. The window displays consisted of a lime green solid decal vinyl border surrounding a striking image of the device in the centre of the display.
The Acer Aspire Switch 10 E campaign was targeted at tech savvy men, women and students who need hardware that is ‘as versatile as you are’. The product offers a full HD (1920×1200) display revealing bright colours and crisp, clear text. It delivers a lifelike visual experience and comes with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3, which protects against scratches and improves its toughness, durability and useability. Switching smoothly between four modes, the Aspire Switch 10 boosts productivity no matter where the customer’s journey takes them.
“The aim of the campaign was two-fold,” says Sean. “Firstly we needed to increase awareness of the brand and its availability within Incredible Connection stores, and secondly to drive sales. By all indications, we’ve been successful on both fronts.”
