SA Natural Products (Pty) Ltd has selected Primedia Unlimited’s Brandyourcar.com to generate awareness around the natural immune booster, Echinaforce, which is running from 1 May to 31 July 2013, on a fleet of carefully chosen branded cars in Pretoria and Johannesburg.
Transit media specialist, Brandyourcar.com, has selected fit and active working moms aged between 30 and 45, with school-going kids aged between three and 16, to become brand ambassadors for Echinaforce during the A.Vogel Echinaforce marketing campaign.
“These women are health conscious and aware of the importance of natural and complementary medicines for their family. They believe in the efficacy of complementary natural medicines and will be using Echinaforce daily for the duration of the advertising campaign,” says Brandyourcar.com’s Jeff Ostrom.
These working moms drop their children off at school and then commute from the Pretoria and Johannesburg area, making use of highways to get to work. On weekends, they are also out and about in their vehicles at shopping malls and kiddies parties and doing a number of other household chores.
“As our brand ambassadors aren’t shy, potential Echinaforce consumers can approach them with ease to find out everything they need to know about the product. And, as they are using the product themselves, they have first-hand experience of how it can help potential consumers and their family,” says Ostrom.
Whilst these brand ambassadors do use allopathic medicines when necessary, they are also highly aware that natural products can be equally effective, with fewer side effects, a lot of the time. They are also of the opinion that ‘prevention is better than cure’.
“The brand ambassadors add a hugely credible element to the advertising campaign because when it comes to colds, flu, upper respiratory tract infections, sore throats and day-to-day health management, they are comfortable using over the counter natural products as the first line of treatment. They know Echinaforce has been well researched, is safe and that there is scientific proof of its efficacy,” says Ostrom.
The brand ambassadors were each given Echinaforce packs and pamphlets to distribute to interested consumers, as well as their own three-month supply of the product for their family.
“The campaign will also take on a social media element to further engage consumers and get them to look out for the Echinaforce branded vehicles,” Ostrom concludes.
