Diabetics get “connected” ahead of Diabetes Month
XP Digital, Xprocure

XP Digital™ and X/procure®, Primedia Unlimited’s innovative healthcare offerings, are being used to communicate Roche Accu-Chek’s diabetes management solutions to both the South African public and thousands of pharmacists who are in a position to help diabetics improve their self-care, lifestyle and insulin dosing decisions.

In a combined ‘dove-tailed’ campaign, through the X/procure® electronic software solution that allows direct advertising of products to pharmacists when procurement occurs, and XP Digital™, which uses HD digital screens to communicate with South African consumers in Dis-Chem and Clicks stores at the dispensing points, maximum exposure is being created in the healthcare industry about the features and benefits of the first to market Accu-Chek Connect system.

The wireless blood glucose monitor, diabetes management app and online diabetes management system helps diabetes patients use the power of their mobile devices – and the web – to get connected, involve their caregivers and spouses, and better manage their diabetes.

“With frequent flightings, the XP Digital™ high definition screens allow consumers to digest the mechanics of Accu-Chek Connect and with over five million consumers being reached, the campaign offers maximum reach in every appropriate healthcare environment,” says JD Henderson, Managing Director of XP Digital™ and X/procure®.

The X/procure® campaign started in September and is ongoing, while the XP Digital™ campaign runs in October and November, which is Diabetes Awareness Month.

“Both the XP Digital™ and X/procure® platforms are perfect mediums for our launch and the XP team has been amazing. They always go above and beyond the call of duty and the specifics to the campaign,” says Nomfundo Khabela, Product Manager: Retail and Consumer.
