Discovery Health selects XP Digital™ to educate its members

Discovery Health has selected Unlimited’s XP Digital™ to encourage consumers to activate their ChroniCare benefit through Discovery’s website and get up to 25% cash back on a range of specialised products at Dis-Chem. The three-month advertising campaign commenced in April 2013.

“XP Digital™ is the ideal way to help educate Discovery Health’s members on the benefit, as the LCD screen advertising creative provides step-by-step instructions on how consumers can earn up to 25% cash back when activating ChroniCare on Discovery’s website,” says XP Digital™’s JD Henderson.

The campaign is being run on XP Digital™’s LCD screens inside Dis-Chem stores across the country for a total of two months, showcasing 30 second and 10 second ads on a rotational basis.

The campaign explains to members that they should firstly activate ChroniCare in order to receive 10% cash back on various devices, foods and accessories. The next step is to undergo the relevant health checks and increase their cash back to 25% and thirdly, swipe their ChroniCare cards at the Dis-Chem till points, in order to save.

“As the advertising campaign runs inside Dis-Chem stores it creates the perfect synergy with consumers looking to get cash back rewards,” Henderson concludes. “Our advertising platforms have been designed in such a way that they educate consumers on new available offerings and they have the power to sway purchasing decisions at the last minute.”
