Skincare brand NIVEA has signed with Primedia Unlimited’s in-salon media advertising company Salon Media to promote NIVEA Cocoa Butter Body Lotion and Cream. This is the second time that the company made use of Salon Media’s platforms.
“The two month campaign took the form of mirror decals which were strategically placed on mirrors that are in consumer’s direct line of sight while they’re in the hair salon,” says Kylie Henry, Internal Sales Manager for Salon Media.
The decal communication was seen in 25 premium and 75 classic ethnic hair salons across the country. Samples of the product were also handed out for customers to try on a ‘no obligation’ basis.
“A competition element rounded off the campaign,” explains Kylie. “Consumers were encouraged to like Nivea on Facebook and to inbox their name, address, salon details and what they love about Nivea for a chance of winning one of 100 Nivea Cocoa Butter product hampers to the value of R500 each.”
