Primall Media allows KFC to capitalise on year-end shopping mania

A girl’s got to shop and a girl’s got to eat! This is the premise behind KFC’s ‘You Go Girl and Take your KFC With You’ campaign. To spread the message to women who are eager to eat their Twisters on the go without disrupting their frenetic festive shopping, KFC enlisted the services of Primedia Unlimited’s shopping centre advertising specialists Primall Media.

“The festive season is time when shopping centres are full and so are our ‘to do’ lists,” says Lee Curtis, Executive Head: Sales & Marketing at Primall Media. “KFC has elected to focus mainly on women in this campaign because they’re generally more active in the shopping department than men and more likely to ‘eat on the go’.”

KFC has selected branding on lift doors, escalators, hanging banners, lift banners, and parkade light boxes in the Eastgate; Cavendish; Menlyn; The Zone; Gateway; V&A Waterfront; Sandton City; Cresta and Canal Walk shopping centres.

The campaign was conceptualised and booked by Ogilvy and Mindshare and runs until the end of January 2013.
