X/procure®, Primedia Unlimited’s electronic procurement software solution which enables more than 63% of South African pharmacies to purchase scheduled and OTC pharmaceutical, surgical and front shop requirements directly from wholesalers and distributors, has reached the very significant R60-billion order mark.
The announcement is more significant in that the company reported reaching the R50 billion mark in March 2012, leaving just over a year for the remaining R10 Billion in orders to be processed.
“Considering the amount of orders going through our system on a daily basis, the achievement really is fantastic,” says JD Henderson, the managing director of X/procure®.
“We achieved this milestone as a result of our increased national footprint in the market and the outstanding service delivery that we offer our clients through, amongst others, our 24/7 call centre,” he adds.
“Furthermore we have seen an increase in basket sizes, as a result of more and more of our valued pharmacy clients preferring to place their orders electronically. Upon investigation of this trend, our clients advised that they prefer to utilise our software, not only because of its ordering ability, but also because it is a very welcome business solution. The useful features of our software include an easy-to-use reporting tool, a message service and targeted advertising, which acts as an education mechanism to our pharmacists on issues of packaging / pricing changes, as well as new product launches.”
“In addition, and vital to our ongoing success as a business and as a brand, X/procure®’s digital advertising component, XP Digital, is showing great growth,” says JD.
X/procure®’s ever increasing national footprint enables more than 63% of SA pharmacies which utilise electronic procurement software, to purchase scheduled and OTC pharmaceutical, surgical and front shop requirements directly from wholesalers and distributors. X/procure® facilitates electronic advertising directly to the pharmacist, allowing advertisers the unique opportunity to present and promote their products at the time the buying and ordering decisions are made.
