ACSA (the Airports Company South Africa) will be using Primedia Unlimited’s targeted Golf Unlimited branding platform on elite golf courses across the country to make frequent domestic and international flyers aware in advance, of various retail related competitions and prizes running at OR Tambo International. The campaign will focus on creating awareness of the unique shopping experience available at this airport.
Golf Unlimited’s Jamie Girgan says; “One of the prizes on offer from our repeat advertiser is a golf cart, which is a sought after commodity within our golfing community so it makes sense to utilise this platform over any others. When combining the upper echelon golfing target market of high LSMs with frequent flyers who are influential, Golf Unlimited was a natural communication fit.”
For a period of two months advertising on the GPS based golf cart units around four and five star South African golf courses will reflect ACSA’s available competitions and prizes at the duty free shops within airports.
Travellers are required to spend R250 or more to qualify for the competition. At each duty free or retail shop a dedicated competition box will be available for consumers to drop in their easily completed competition form. ACSA has targeted its communication to several different lifestyles which is in line with the varied offerings the company is giving away.
