Salon visitors are being encouraged to ‘share the love’ through a campaign being run by in-salon media advertising company Salon Media.
The Primedia Unlimited company assisted non-profit organisation SOAPkidz in advertising an earlier event, and the NPO was so overwhelmed with the response to the electronic adverts used that founder Karen Hauptfleisch once again approached Salon Media for help in promoting the Art in the Gardens event happening on October 26 at the Pretoria Botanical Garden.
“SOAPKidz aims to create environmental awareness, promote nature conservation and teach life skills while hosting fun activities for underprivileged, abused and neglected children. It is a wonderful cause and we are happy to assist Karen in making her upcoming event as successful as possible,” says Mary-Anne Lakin, General Manager of Salon Media.
“Salon Media allows consumers to absorb messages while relaxed and receptive to new ideas and we hope that once salon visitors learn about the organisation and its next fundraising event, they will embrace this wonderful cause,” she adds.
“SOAPkidz believes in bringing people with different passions together. With the Art in the Gardens event, we have our normal environmental activities, but the artists’ passion is also shared with the children …and everyone else. Besides having fun, the children get the opportunity to discover new talents,” says Hauptfleisch.
“This time around, members of the public are also invited to participate because we believe that all of us are ‘underprivileged’ as a result of the lifestyles we lead and not getting the opportunity to experience nature,” she adds.
The event, from 10am to 4pm, promises to be a fun day out for families. Over 30 artists are involved and will not only be selling their original works, but will be sharing their love of art with visitors. In addition, there will be environmental activities and a number of food stalls.
