Ster Kinekor and blockbuster entertainment go hand in hand and since movie goers are eager to be kept abreast of new releases and movie festivals, the entertainment giant has signed up with Primedia Unlimited’s mobile advertising company brandyourcar.com to announce its latest ‘Scare Fest’ among 16 to 24 year old cinema lovers.
A long standing supporter of Brandyourcar.com, Ster Kinekor’s Scare Fest is being advertised on the personally owned vehicles of young adults who frequent malls on a regular basis.
The festival offers an innovative screening experience for consumers to see their favourite horror movies, including late night screenings.
Brandyourcar.com’s Jeff Ostrom explains; “Although this is a niched campaign, our targeted audience in this case are students who enjoy the cinema environment and have a high mall frequency attendance around the relevant geographic areas.
The drivers for this campaign were specifically chosen as they live and drive around the Eikestad, Cavendish, Cape Gate, N1 City, Parow, Somerset, Bayside, Tygervalley and Blue Route shopping centres, where the Skare Fest is currently being shown.”
“In addition to carrying branding on their vehicles, our drivers act as brand ambassadors for the campaign, sharing the Scare Fest details among their own circles of family and friends either verbally or through their personal Facebook profiles that in turn inform their own circles and social networks,” adds Ostrom.
The first of its kind in the country, this new media platform headed by media group Unlimited, connects consumer’s lifestyles with leading brands by branding consumer’s vehicles. Advertisers pay consumers simply for carrying advertising on their vehicles, enabling them to earn up to R2000 per month.
