Following the company’s Technology Top 100 (TT100) wins this year, Primedia Unlimited’s subsidiary X/procure® has confirmed the appointment of two Da Vinci Institute interns.
In this year’s Technology Top 100 Awards, X/procure® placed first in the Management of People category and was a finalist in the Management of Technology and Management of Innovation categories. This follows the company winning both these awards during the last two years.
“X/procure®will be hosting two IT graduates from now up to and including June 2014,” says MD JD Henderson. “They will follow a structured mentorship programme with our team and learn the operational and developmental aspects of our business.”
Da Vinci TT100 was founded by Prof Roy Marcus, Chairman of The Da Vinci Institute, (a private Higher Education Institute), and is now in its 22nd year of recognising exceptional South African organisations. Technology Top 100 sources and places unemployed technology and science graduates with participating Technology Top 100 companies who are willing to mentor and develop them over a 12 month internship programme. This specialised internship programme is funded by the Department of Science and Technology.
“We’re looking forward to mentoring our two interns who both boast a solid IT background,” says JD. “As they’re both training to become developers, we’re certain they’ll get the backing and support they need at X/procure®.”
