Primestars Marketing has achieved a unique position within the framework of Cause Related Marketing in South Africa. This is because our vision and goals are carefully conceptualised to benefit both the society in which we live and to bring value to our business partners. Our concept of using Ster Kinekor cinemas as “Educational Theatres of Learning” has brought a new dimension to the field of mass media as audiences lose interest in brand communications on traditional models such as television, the Internet and radio. The object of placing our programmes in the cinemas is to take people out of their normal environments of home, school and office and bring them together in a neutral place to learn, grow and network thereby creating receptive audiences for the dissemination of knowledge and for related brand messages and information.
With the assistance of key strategic partners and sponsors, the company has to date reached over 100 000 historically disadvantaged secondary school learners nationally with programmes such as EduC8 and the Nedbank sponsored “My Future, My Career”.
With our focus on previously disadvantaged learners who will become potential university students, entrepreneurs and business people, Primestars Marketing has found itself on the cutting edge of marketing technology.
